Watercolor connects me to sanctuary. The transparent nature of the medium raises my curiosity and my mood. Because painting with water creates movement, it is an unpredictable medium and challenges both my patience and my perspective. Visual storytelling is a transporting experience and pairs well with my training as a writer. Creating art is a healing endeavor for both the body and mind when art restores connection after trauma.
